The philosophy is simple! We provide your child the proper foundation for hand control, sticking patterns, technique, posture, reading music, and a strong focus on rudiment development. It is a proven method that has worked for countless professional drummers!
We provide the basics through proven beginner Drum Lesson books. But the difference is WE MAKE IT FUN! Snare development is fundamental for all percussionists. In some cases, lessons elsewhere COULD last for years before you sit behind a Drum Kit. WE introduce the Drum Kit in small pieces throughout your child's experience while still focusing on foundation skills. This maintains the motivation, the fun, and develops confidence early.
We encourage "listening skills" and dissecting rhythms while looking at a professional drummers and percussionists each week to interpret different styles! All of this is done to develop not only "the chops" but to develop your child's CREATIVITY and PASSION for percussion and keep it FUN for years to come!
Background Checks are conducted on all instructors and volunteers to provide "Peace of Mind" to parents that all students are learning in a SAFE ATMOSPHERE.
