Let's encourage our daughters!

Part of my instruction with students is to have them look at a new percussionist via You Tube each week. It could be Steve Gadd or an old Gene Krupa solo, Ohio State Drumline or the Madison Scouts Drumline. I discovered Amanda Watson when showing my daughter (at 10 years old) that girls make GREAT drummers! Amanda was the first female lead snare in MSU Drumline history, as well as one of two female snares in the Phantom Regiment in 2011. Have a watch! This is the skill we are hoping to develop in OUR kids! Amazing!
